Youngone signs ₩10bn agreement with Sames Machinery
Youngone Corporation has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with South Korea's Sames Machinery to strengthen its global textile manufacturing network. Under the agreement, Youngone will purchase 180 South Korean-made circular knitting machines over the next two years. The contract is worth about ₩10 billion ($7.1 million).
The new machines will be installed at Youngone's textile production facilities in Uzbekistan, India, and Kenya. The company said the investment will help improve production efficiency, ensure consistent fabric quality, and build a more reliable equipment supply system.
Circular knitting machines are widely used to produce fabrics for sportswear, T-shirts, and other apparel. They knit yarn continuously into tubular fabric, allowing manufacturers to achieve high productivity and uniform fabric quality.
Youngone operates a vertically integrated textile manufacturing business. The company produces materials and fabrics for many global outdoor and apparel brands. Its textile production network already includes manufacturing facilities in Bangladesh, Vietnam, and Uzbekistan.
Park Jae-yong, President of Youngone Corporation, said the partnership is more than a business agreement. He said it is a step toward supporting South Korea's textile machinery industry while strengthening the global textile supply chain.
The company believes closer cooperation with domestic machinery manufacturers will help improve supply chain resilience and support long-term growth. Youngone also expects the investment to maintain high manufacturing standards as it continues expanding its global textile production network.
